This is one of the Chinese made Ibanez ART models to have made it here thusfar (the Artcores are non-solid body Chinese units, yes?). I'm very pleased with the playability & overall tone, especially knowing those are active pickups in there (yes, active as in batteries required...). The $642 list price is attraction itself. Of course, its Les Paul-like shape would please many but it's the last consideration if you are really interested in this guitar- highly recommended.

Ibanez: ART-120

Sounds like a great beginner guitar...
'Beginner' would be quite a disrespect to this great player. it's one of the most affordable active pickup equipped guitar in the market in the mean time.
I think Nick Hipa from As I Lay Dying uses something like this guitar right? The Ibanez ART? Is it a good guitar to go long term at a budget cost?
a good instrument, regardless of its brand name, price & on-board features, should last the owner a long time provided s/he takes care of it.
the ART-20 isn't gonna fall apart any time after one buys it- that's for sure. :-)
