... which is also offered in a packaged deal, a very affordable offering... attractive to beginners, maybe- provided they know this belated south paw guitarist who shook guitardom in his time, but that was when our fathers were hippies.In his lifetime, Hendrix did play Gibsons- Flying Vs, SGs & occasionally, flipped over Les Pauls. It would be more respectable if the manufacturer takes pride in re-issuing the aforementioned guitars as opposed to the strat-alike production item depicted above.
You'd ask yourselves, why would Gibson, one of the industry's behemoth brand name, stoop this low- would you buy this guitar or invest in a Fender in the name of Hendrix adoration?

Anyone with some talent could sounds like Hendrix, somewhat, with any guitar.
Gibson should spend their R&D money on actually making new kinds of guitars rather than rehashing old models and shapes.
this move, deemed by many, reflects a rather desperate move in latching onto a certain market share...
When it comes to this, the Strat has to be, a Fender Strat. Bad move by Gibson, bad move.

Gibson's afraid to try anything new cause everytime they do, it bombs. They have 4 big winners, the LP, SG, Explrorer and Flying V. Anyone remember the US-1 or the Corvus or any other abomination they tried? Let them keep making the over priced boat paddle Les Paul's they're so good at. I hope Fender messes Gibson something fierce in the courts. They'll probably leave the Hendrix estate alone out of gratitude for Jimi.
