Fender has just announced the Modern Player series... the dual P-90 Jaguar looks enticing but the Marauder (1st guitar from the left)... well, no comments. FYI- the MP series are made in China.

Man, i wish that one day fender would make a "modern" tele with arm contour and tummy cut.
they did a very contemporary Tele with a curved top & that belly cut you desire- it's the Telecaster FMT HH, still available @ swee lee BB showroom :-)
Ah, i went excited for the moment there until i realized you mentioned "curved top". Curved top is still not comfortable enough for my picking hand, the main reason why i avoid les paul/schecter/esp horizon styled guitars (despite they are excellent guitars).
I hoped the arm contour is like the strat/super strat style guitars. The nearest "modern" tele i've found is the ibanez FR but then...i still desire a fender model.
Ibanez FR is not a Tele... :-(
