Don't hurry to try, do it when you think it'll open up some new perspectives to your ideas. I have not played my 8s for quite a while bec my ideas are currently based on my 7s & 6-baritone.
Ya, like sub bro said, do it with an open mind. A lot of players out is confirn to their current world, not being very explority at all.
Iam sure with the right mindset, you be surprised of the wonders that instrument can give, especially if you dig into heavy stuff.
