No rubbing of eyes, please, this BOSS DS-1 is indeed the limited edition version of the manufacturer's 40th anniversary celebrations which would take place throughout the year. Expect more commemorative goodies along the way but keep in mind of the novelty & prices, some regurgitations (without fresh inputs) are not worth buying.

From what I see, Boss DS-1-4A has the same MSRP as the normal DS-1.
But resellers are pricing it slightly higher.

I love the DS-1. I think this one is just a re-case with the exact same internals; I should be getting one.
I am hoping for a DS-1W but with the DS-1X, I don't think it will get a waza craft version. Pity the DS-1X doesn't clean up as nicely with volume control...
