I'm too used to having polishing fluid for fret work so I'm giving the eraser a go. Unlike the fluid, the eraser bits do not seep into the fretboard gaps where the frets are embedded & turn into gunk over time.
Downside is dealing with the eraser dust, something your Mrs will grumble over should you forget to clean it up. 😁

Any risk of removing too much material, and ending up with uneven frets?
The eraser looks abrasive until you use it- harmless stuff. It rubs away the dirt, like what an eraser does to a paper surface; the pencil marking goes off first & when you see that's done, you stop erasing. The eraser dust here is the eraser material, not fret material. 😊
Ahhhh. Gotcha man, thanks!
Gentle reminder- we can't erase rust
where can i get this?
Available at Davis GMC 👌🏽
