We're happy the Japanese Fenders are making their way here continuously & that we are the very few who enjoy reasonable prices when it comes to these instruments. Just a note of how prices go up with every shipment as depicted above but these are still reasonable figures compared to how much these would go for in the American & European markets. It's making us see how substantial import costs are & these would trickle down to the price listings which we are subjected to. Why bother taking note? Because our income do not level up proportionately when prices go up. That's why.

Price watch (22)
I'm always tracking price developments here. I believe I represent the good majority of buyers out there in saying that price will always be a make / break consideration before we commit to purchase. Also, I'm not discriminating stores / individuals in particular when prices are being scrutinized. It's all about noting how the value of things get inflated over time due to various reasons & it's not just happening to guitars.

"...our income do not level up proportionately when prices go up"
totally agreed
A point to take note of is that the latest version of those models comes with matching painted headstock and roasted maple neck. But still, a $300 up-charge could be a hard pill to swallow.
The slight mods with every new iteration 'justifies' the price hike from a certain perspective. Most probably not from the buyers.
