This is perhaps the only Gibson I look forward to come 2018. The SG Jr had been simple guitars from the start with a focus on tone. I believe Gibson should keep a line of such guitars in active production. Some of us do not subscribe to flash, we want substance & of late, the manufacturer's handling of it manifests doubt. With that said, the fretboard here is (baked) maple. Not a good thing when you advocate your product in the image of a 60s specification. A good thing because it would not be under the CITES scrutiny.
