Difference? It's a through-body construction.

New from BOSS, be warned, high niche appeal. It's fair warning because only a certain group of guitar dweebs would benefit from the SL-2 offerings. These are most probably the sound scapers, shoe-gazers among us. Take time to watch the promo clip, please.
