Tube coffee

This was my play set-up last night; decided to plug my Black Coffee into the Tube7. The BC has no distortion control so what was heard was ful- on distortion coupled with a drive kick from my Coolcat Transparent Overdrive. Also, the overall tone was scoop-inclined as the BC only has treble/bass controls on board.

Amp line-up

Here're my amps to date. I did not regret buying the Killer Ant as it sounds great both clean & driven. How different is it compared to my TUBE7? It has an attenuated output (if it doesn't, it sure as heck sounds like it) which has a saturated output that I like to hear.

If it's good, it's good.

Just finished playing the set-up above. Sound Drive & Biyang are relative unknowns but good does not necessarily equals boutique. However, the good are most of the time well-known because reputation breeds mentioning.

Tube cleans + trusty distortion = best

These two friends are currently very impressive implements: Sound Drive's Tube 7 head & Biyang's Metal End King. It seems that, for a spectacular distorted output to happen, tube cleans would
complement your preferred distortion unit. This is NOT the case when one employs a tube equipped pedal through a solidstate amp.

Sound Drive: The Tube Menace...

I'm enjoying the best of both worlds from Sound Drive:
  • Solidstate (left): SG612R
  • Tube (right): Tube 7
