Ibanez July 2025 (1): Vampire & Electric

Ibanez is treating this summer as a new year of sorts with plenty of releases (more than 10) in its July line up. Some are not entirely new, just given a new finish like this RG565R in vampire kiss finish which, to the layperson, is purple.

It's also available in blue, electric blue to be precise.

Ibanez: August '24

We begin August in the knowledge that Ibanez had decided to perpetuate the Genesis RG550 by adding a couple of new colours to the fold - black & electric blue.

Electric Blue

This is the new Tommy Thayer Epiphone Electric Blue Les Paul; what a looker! The blue sparkle finish may not be the freshest of ideas but they got the bridge pickup & the control knobs to colour conform. Both the humbuckers here are Seymour Duncan's JB. Not a Kiss fan, let alone an Epi fan but I'm making this visible here to show you the headstock outline of the newer breed of Les Pauls. That's right, the clipped dove wings design is slowly making way for a more appealing version. That's good news indeed.
