Not an entirely fresh idea but it's attractive nevertheless- Gibson's new, shorter-scaled (30.5") Flying V bass. This should appeal to people like me who prefer a more feasable bass spec because we are predominantly guitar players.
But if you are into the regular bass scale length, this 34"-scaled Explorer bass should be on your exploration (forgive the pun) list.
