Japanese + wenge

Another newbie in the Charvel lineup - the MJ DK24 HSH 2PT. It's Japanese.

The neck is wenge. I've tried a wenge neck (Ibanez) before & it's one of the smoothest so it hits home for all the shred dweebs. It's also a very comfy material so your hand won't feel lethargic if you stay at one end of the neck most of the time (all ye riff meisters). One more time, the price seems to be a deal breaker: USD2,199.

Ibanez: RG970WBW

You do remember the Ibanez RG970WBWZ, yes? (Here: CLICK)

It's now available at Swee Lee- I gave it a go last evening & thoroughly enjoyed it. The non-maple neck was a different experience, I've been too accustomed to maple so the open pore wenge/ bubinga is a pleasant difference as well. The guitar was well set up by the Swee Lee guys but the official price is still pending release.

This one sports a non-maple neck; it's wenge/ bubinga.
