This is an interesting Ibanez 7-string guitar belonging to Chris Broderick. While many players go crazy upon employing their whammy bar, Chris Broderick leaves his nut lock-free implying his guitar stays in tune very well.

i hate string locks, on my strat i use locking tuners with a graphite nut and my washburn tremolo doesn't float and my tuning is very stable...
string locks are OK, just that they are a hassle when tuning/ string changing is concerned.
