Heads up!!

The above pic was taken off the manufacturer's website. It's an ad for a special strap aimed at addressing the neck-heavy issue of some instruments. The product: Heads Up strap, guaranteed to hold the instrument's neck up when it threatens to kamikaze.

The neat little trick lies inside the pocket at the body end of the strap...

...which actually houses a weight to counter the neck-heavy pull. It's like tying a brick to your current strap but that wouldn't be as neat as this one, wouldn't it?

Before anyone asks, I've yet to see this product in the stores here..

Don't really fancy the idea of having additional weight on my guitar. But i like the idea of using it as my diving weight :D

It wont be long before someone invent a "Gyro Strap" :D

haha this is a really weird...
rather put up with the diving neck than add more weight on my shoulders... especially when you already use heavy guitars like lp or sth...

Drilling a new hole for the strap button solves it, yes?

hefty guitars, highly likely, won't manifest a neck-heavy dive...

bro Fitch- as it is, some of us won't wanna do that to costly guitars.

but generally, i deem spine preservation to be more crucial than neck-dive issues :-)

For me, i wouldn't buy a neck-heavy guitar in the first place. Anyway, the strap is a good problem (extra weight) to solve the first problem (neck-dive). :D
