happy fasting sub! :) btw an OT question if i may, when u said offset dual cutaway, by offset u mean the upper horn balances the guitar when playing standing up? or is there another way that guitars balance?
yo bro :-) offset here refers to the design of the guitar, essentially, the bass-side & treble-side cutaways are the same, just that they are not located at the same place.
ah ic. that cleared up some confusion i had. btw any idea what makes a guitar balanced when playing standing up? in my somewhat limited experience (and possibly non-experimentation) the only guitars that have perfect balance imo are strats and the ltd forester. any idea what is their trick? lol
it's all in the design considerations- that's what i gathered. despite great looking guitars being touted as 'the' instrument of choice, the manufacturer's selection of wood, hardware + design, determines that instrument's overall physical presence.
i know why ibanez guitars don't sport those GROVER locking tuners by default- try a set of those in yours if you own an RG & experience the neck dive; will put the average SG to shame he he...
