I won't qualify the Edwards E-LP models you see above as the next best things but they are worth your consideration. From a personal account, I find them to be more than agreeable in terms of intention. Playability, tone & overall feel are points of contention, definitely. These are not void fillers, they are ESP's interpretation of what a set-neck, singlecut guitar should be. If it's not your thing then you have no obligations to purchase.
Folks, be informed that making such instruments today is not a sustainable act in the face of active litigation, some of which are undisclosed till the death. That's all I can say for now. Please be informed that prices have gone up for this shipment but it's not as unreasonable as some Mexican Fenders you see out there.
