Signatures

This happens to all products not just guitars - endorsements. Seen here are the Lzzy Hale Explorer & Billie Joe Armstrong LP Jr signature models. These are good instruments per se, the endorsers' association simply added a commercial pull more than anything else. 

How many pro artists prefer the Epiphone name to Gibson? Meaning, they swear by Epiphone & disregard the immortal Gibson label for personal reasons. Yes, there are indeed such individuals. A very clear example would be Matt Heafy (Trivium). Why does this happen? There are some things done by the Epiphone camp which are more cost effective, not so if it's done by Gibson. The LH Explorer here is a clear ezample. Gibson giving the instrument that thick glitter overcoat would cost more than Epiphone handling it. Lest we forget, the idea of having Epiphone on the headstock is to sell. You won't believe the commitment of diehard fans in obtaining their idol-related possessions, merch, etc.

Hale Voyager

A new one from the Kramer camp - a Lzzy Hale signature model called the Voyager. It's extra pointy & will invite knocks & dents very easily. Bridge is an FR1000, coupled with the in-house Kramer 85-T humbucker, should not make this an extravagantly priced instrument. Single pickup, 22 frets - my kind of features. FR bridge - not interested. Keep in mind that Lzzy has a signature Epiphone Explorer as well.

Hale Gibson

I didn't see this coming but Gibson had appointed Lzzy Hale as its first female brand ambassador. They cited some collaborations in the works & if that guitar is indeed one of those outcomes, one word - ugly.

Then again, ugly was done before - Custom Shop Bonabyrd.
