Sadowsky: Metro Express (2)

Tried this at Swee Lee - impressed. Yes, it's the more affordable Chinese Metro Line P Bass but it's one heck of a player. Surprisingly, despite its standard scale length, this bass is somewhat a tad lighter than the average Mexican P-Bass from the big F brand. It's an okoume body, by the way. I see this as a no frills, value for money bass ($999).

Metro Express

Of course, I've not forgotten about our bassist friends. The Sadowsky MetroExpress basses are now available at Swee Lee. These are affordable models (Chinese) but still in excess of $1K. The 5-string versions are also in store.

For those of us who are predominantly guitar oriented, it's good to own a bass. This opens up opportunities for us to understand music arrangement (how we fit basslines into the tune) & chord progressions. That's right, I always use the bass to identify chords in songs & then I play those on guitar. It's a little long winded but my mind works that way.

Metro express

Good stuff from the Sadowsky camp, the affordable Metro Express (China) basses. This J-type lists for $999 (Swee Lee).

Also available, the PJ variation listing for as much. In this price range, it's good to look at non-Fender stuff out there for some value-for-money considerations unless the F name is a pre-requisite of your bass desires.
