Affinity Jaguar

This is a good move from Squier. A new Affinity Jaguar model that keeps things simple in the electronics department; a slanted 3-way switch. Nice.

If you dot wish for a dark fretboard material (laurel), then this maple version featuring a sparkling metallic brown finish, is absolutely cool.

Bound Esquire

This is quite the buzz in the mean time; Squier's Esquire. It's a fresh release with not much details to be had. Even the official Squire website has not featured this model (yet).

It's kinda special because it features a double bound body, it's something 'extra' that's not found in the Fender version. The dark wood fretboard (laurel) is the other difference. If these make it here (currently comes in 3 finishes - blue / black / burst), it should be in the $600 +/- bracket. Full model citation: Squier CV 60 Custom

Not laurel

This is stated at Swee Lee's website. Laurel is one of the current popular substitutes for rosewood. It's a straight-grained, porous wood type with a brown hue. As depicted above, that's clearly not a laurel fretboard.

To be fair to this oversight, both Cutlass versions are featured at SL's webpage, it's quite the case of a duplicate spec sheet. Why am I putting this under the microscope? I'm asking you to exercise due care when buying something online especially if there is a probability of not getting what you clicked for. We understand that some stores are bound by their exchange policy & getting your issues addressed is a little tricky. Nothing personal against SL here, it's an oversight that can be attended to quickly.
