It rained for 2 days in May, 2010. That's enough to flood a town. Unfortunately, that town was Nashville, Tennessee, USA- where Gibson guitars are made. High water levels meant the instruments were virtually submerged in the water. Damage was extensive of course, as seen above.

Heartbroken sight. Especially for those who spend countless hours making such beauties...
Fitch
changed the electronics, minus the stains, dings, etc... sold as "distressed" finishes hehehe
means they will raise the price for these guitars even when they did nothing to distress them?? oh no!! the buyers are so gonna get conned!! =(
some of these guitars were beyond salvation so they went to the dumps. the fortunate few were restored. the entire Nashville town banded together to restore flood-damaged instruments, not just the ones belonging to Gibson.
ah ic...so are all the involved companies gonna have a limited run nashville flood series instruments?? =P
he he... that's not a wise thing to do, if i were Gibson, i'd focus on keeping the supplies back on track & not create a demand bottleneck, especially at this time of the year- festive season & NAMM 2011 approaching :-)
