Following the release of the new Affinity series Squier models recently, there is a current dissent in cyberspace pertaining to the Jazzmaster. Fans are unhappy Squier did not include the Jazzmaster vibrato bridge system & opting for the Strat-type version instead. However, this version is already available in the American Performer series. The Affinity is just a reproduction in this case. I think some people fail to understand Squier is going for variety here. The traditional Jazzmaster design has already been covered by the Classic Vibe take. So in the Squier range now we have Jazzmaster models featuring 4 bridge types; Tune-o-matic, Strat-type vibrato, fixed bridge & the traditional Jazzmaster design. Isn't it good that Squier covered all the bases instead of just offering one bridge type? Hmm...
