New FLYs

TECH 21's FLY RIG 5 offers a simple solution for musicians on the go- a drive, pre-amp & delay in a single serving. The FLY RIG 5 had been tweaked for a Ritchie Kotzen version still offering the same core guitar effects in a single housing. We now have 2 more FR5 refinements- the Brit & Cali, named after obvious voicings if you are a true guitar fan, there's no guessing what's in store tone-wise.

The classic SA

Ironically, Tech 21's new pedal is a classic- Sansamp Classic. At some point in time, we tone tinkerers came across this pedal & would be hooked on the simplicity it offered. It's not one of those truly original pedal but the emulation manifested are convincing & useful, something many of us gigging dweebs would appreciate- we need voicing variety. Look carefully at the pedal above, it allows for 3 applications- Lead/ Normal/ Bass, now, isn't that wonderful?

3X MOD version

You own the (Tech 21) Double Drive? Most probably, you own the version you see above.

This is the revised version, note the MOD label there. What's the difference, you ask? This later incarnation has a more metal type drive, so it suits players like me who are in favour of a more intense voicing.

A trademark good amp

I've been trying pedals at TYmusic through this amp lately; it's a TECH 21 Trademark 30.

If we take a look at the control panel above, the character section gives the user a fair selection of voicings to work with.

If you are a GT2 user, you'd be familiar with that range of tweaking options.
