Eid greetings to all Muslim readers. Another sombre holiday at my end. Obligatory visit to the parents' & chilling out with my gear at home. Wishing everyone a good break & an equally good week ahead.

Aidiladha 2024
A muted celebration this year as my uncle passed away two days prior. Hope everyone had a good day off work & started the week well.

Aidiladha 2021
By the time you read this, Aidiladha, the day of sacrifice, has closed its chapter. It's a somber eid compounded by the COVID-19 situation & further aggravated by the unforgiving developments in this country of late. As at noon today, the authorities had announced the reversion to no external dine-in & stiff limitations on social gatherings, in view of the escalating number of infections for the past few days or so. The way I see it, the spirit of sacrifice - forgoing current pleasures to acknowledge an emergency - is a lobsided affair here. Then again, I'm not expecting too much from the authorities whose grip of the situation is threatening to jelly.
Regardless of whatever unfolds in the days to come, Eid Mubarak to all Muslims, may our sacrifice be in the good books of the Creator, not under the hankering attention of puny mortals. Onwards!

Sacrifice 2020
To all Muslim blog readers, visitors & friends - Salam Eid Ul Adha. So it's two straight Eids in the pandemic season & there's no signs of things letting down soon. Unlike Eid Ul Fitri, the law now permits limited merry-making so if you missed the opportunity to pay respect to your elders, this might be a consolation. In any case folks, safety first & abide by the mandated guidelines. Take care as we say goodbye to July.

Eid-Ul Adha 2017
Ah... a public holiday leading to the long weekend- awesome! A blessed greeting of eid to all Muslim friends & blog readers, may this day renew our faith in sacrifice. All sacrifices- small ones, unseen ones, emergency ones- will be deservingly rewarded so do not hesitate to make that selfless move in the name of good. Remember, killing yourselves to bring others down isn't sacrifice; it's plain stupidity.

Eid-ul Adha greetings
It's the time of the year to be reflecting on sacrifices. Whatever it is, it's definitely not about blowing yourself up in the (false) belief that you'd be heading to paradise for that. If you are that sort of person & you are about to blow yourself up for that very reason, judging by the documented occurrences, ask yourself if it puts a stop to anything. Hint: It's actually the same answer to dropping bombs in places far away in the hope of stopping that cancer from spreading elsewhere- is it working?
Eid greetings to all Muslim blog readers, friends & acquaintances. Enjoy the long weekend, yes?
