Kala u (3)

After a few days of playing, one of the KALA Baritone ukulele strings snapped. It's most probably due to sharp edges at the nut. Ordered this pack from Swee Lee & would like to appreciate their efforts in making such strings available despite them not having any baritone ukulele in their inventory.

These are ball end strings so it removes the math of tying, winding & securing the strings at the tail end while keeping things visually presentable. My only grip here is that the strings should be of a single colour instead of the four different ones you see here.

Ball end goodness

Thumbs up to ball end ukulele strings. This had been making my life a little easier for the past couple of weeks or so. Re-stringing ukulele for the kids' post-exam music programme in the mean time so these ball end strings are the way to go especially when I have more than 20 to deal with.

Ball End-lele

If you are sick & tired of having to tie your ukulele strings at the bridge end & wish for a ball end convenience instead (as above)...

... then be informed that Ernie Ball has ball end ukulele strings for you. In the mean time, only soprano & concert gauges are offered.

Hey, dad! (Part 48)

Hey, dad!

This is easy stuff; all I need to do is wait for the ball end to pop through the string ferrules while you are pushing them through from the other side.

These rusty strings are really yucky...
