MOMM (48)

This is Sadus after more than 15 years of waiting. This is also Sadus without Steve DiGiorgio. As such the bass content lacks that technical finesse. Basically, Sadus is defined by Illusions (1988) & Swallowed in Black (1990). Thereafter, the band placed less emphasis on attack mindedness in the music which perpetuated here. If anyone is expecting a come-back vibe then it's not heard in all songs.

Sadus: Knifing it

Pic: EM

Also making a come-back this year is Sadus, currently reduced to a duo (Allen / Travis). These guys were the lesser known people in the genre back then. Back then refers to that time when I was in still in school & not eating much, just to buy cassette tapes (& guitar magazines) of my favourite bands. Leaving you with their latest single (& probably the final one before the full LP release come November):

Digiorgio

I first heard Steve Digiorgio play in Sadus. He was (still is) one of those bass dweebs who won't let the guitar/ drum bury the low end in a band context. He holds his own in terms of bass technicalities as well, in fact, one of the very few metal bassists out there to strap on a fretless unit.

I was trawling Ibanez's web pages & was surprised to see him there now playing the BTB bass. No idea if this is an exclusive deal but he switched camps for sure.
