MM: Silhouette Bass guitar

Music Man has this Silhouette model which is referred to as a 'bass guitar'. It breeds confusion because one would wonder if it's a bass or a guitar since its model reference doesn't help. After some reading, the specs sheet specifies two string gauge possibilities; the player can either string it with a 6-string bass set or a baritone guitar set. Should we opt for the former, we'd wonder how this instrument (sporting a 29.625" scale length) would manifest the bass frequency comprehensively since it has a pair of guitar pickups in there. The baritone option would make more sense...

... which brings to mind the discontinued OLP MM5, marketed as a baritone unit exclusively. This guitar however featured a 30" scale length. So it seems Music Man already had a blueprint for the Silhouette Bass Guitar.
