Carvin has jumped into the 8-string camp, seen here are the manufacturer's DC800 models which are both 27" in scale length. These are marketed as an 'extended' scale length guitars which isn't that peciliar/ special a specification considering many other manufacturers' 8-string instruments are indeed longer than the standard 25.5" (eg: Ibanez/ Schecter). The humbuckers are the manufacturer's own A80 models.
