The Plasma II sports a ceramic magnet & it's great for drive-inclined tones. the Plasma III has a sweeter definition due to the Alnico V magnet but that doesn't make it a lesser pickup when drive is concerned.
i can't hear any similarities between these pickups against a Duncan JB. the JB has more cutting midrage that could be excessive to some of us- but i love it nevertheless.

the Classic Vibes series will be available here in time to come. for the rest of us who cannot wait, we welcome alternative acquisition modes.

TESLA talk: do hear the TESLAS in action @ SV, do not dismiss the active units; in my books, TESLA's actives has one of the best clean tones.
