Beez @ Excelsior

It's the first weekend for Beez at his new premises, managed to drop by for a look-see. Business as usual...

Beez's signature soldering iron, if you are familiar with his tools.

This is his new work light. He he... FYI- Beez won't be stocking spares such as strings, pots, etc. as these are easily obtainable from the nearby stores (Davis/ TYMC/ SV guitars). However, he will still keep the Sprague Orange Drop capacitors in stock as well as doing custom length Canare cables with your preferred plugs. One more time, Beez is now located at Excelsior Shopping Center, #B1-34. He is also no longer doing business under the 'Lookforbeez' identity so his link reference here had been removed.

Beez at work

Here's Beez at work, this time he's preparing some Canare cables for a customer. There's another blue Canare cable hanging on the rack at the back- that's a demo piece. Beez would abuse this cable for you to witness (includes stomping, banging with tools, tugging, crimping... so it's not for the faint hearted) so you would be convinced of product durability before parting with your hard-earned cash. That cable was with him during his Yamaha days so it's at least 15 years old & counting.

Light

Last night's session was a light one, in terms of set up that is. Had the above assembly going while sitting & watching TV:
  1. LTD ST-203: it's a single coil night, nothing humbucking, please...
  2. X-mini speaker: it's the first incarnation & still my fav
  3. LINE6 Pocket Pod Express: simplicity as it is
  4. Planet Waves Custom Pro cable: grabbed the shortest cable, this was it
  5. Canare patch cables: used the version with Cabletek plugs, i ordered a trio of 3-inchers from Beez for pedals connection
  6. Alice: 3mm pick, my all time fav
  7. Biyang: silent adaptor, a very appropriate application with single coils
  8. Beta Aivin: noise gate, another all time fav
  9. Ibanez TS7: the most utilized Tubescreamer in my collection

Canare cable/ Amphenol plug

I just got my custom length Canare cables (2m each, nothing too long for domestic use) from LOOK FOR BEEZ today. As you can see, I've chosen brown with black/ chrome plugs, which are of the Amphenol brand. As the spouse puts it, brown represents ageing & retirement befitting of a selfless character who puts negligible value to cosmetics due to excessive exposure to quantity, opting for quality intrinsics instead- a perfect description of yours truly...

However, if you are interested in this cable brand, be assured that Beez has colour assortments in stock with varied thickness. You can also specify a patch cable type length with relevant discounts for liberal quantity acquisitions.

As you can see from this heap, Beez also has other brand name/ shape plugs for your selection, the cost of which hinges on the material used as oppossed to the county of origin.
How much? You pay for your personal selection, which is the sum of the cable/ plugs/ service charge. An estimate of a 10ft long cable equipped with a pair of Amphenol plugs: $22.00, 1/2ft patch cable starts at $6.00+ with the relevant plug charges included. If it's your maiden purchase, drop by LOOK FOR BEEZ & ask for selection quotes. If you decide to purchase on the spot, Beez would effect your order immediately unless he has his hands full.
After telling Beez what I wanted, he took 10min to complete the cable termination- the Jedi Master at work...
