UNO!

My UNO- I've chosen the Standard; slimmer neck & body dimensions are what I've always wanted from a Les Paul-like guitar.

UNO guitars sport a matching body-headstock finish. It's equipped with D'Addario strings at the factory, as tagged.

A pair of Custom Tesla pickups. Great cleans (neck) & lots of clarity under intense distortion. I seldom play clean so these pickups are very likable.

Here's a look at the neck-body fitting. The slimmer body dimensions allow for a fit binding which almost intrude into the neck but there were no bleeding of this nature. Everything's kept neat & tidy by the manufacturer.

Sub, how are you dealing with the gloss neck?

wat a beauty :)

gloss neck is a matter of adaptation- my ESPs & Gibsons sport gloss necks no problems here.

there is a need for a constant wipe down if you sweat excessively. don't think about it too much, just play :-)

Is that a red tiger, or mcCarthy amber? i'm having a hard time figuring what color is that, perhaps because of my pc monitor.

just tried it ytd...don't really like the tone of the bridge. switching from neck to bridge was like going from heaven to hell. the neck was warm and smooth but the bridge was kinda crushing, trebbly and blistering. probably nice if i got my gain from the pickups. not my kinda thing i guess haha

Fantastic pickups!

Tat saves me the trouble of changing the pups then! Hahaha

subversion.sg said...

Wish these Tesla Customs are available off the shelf...

Loki said...

Is the custom pups tat unique in its characteristics bro?

subversion.sg said...

he he... the way is see it, every pickup SHOULD be unique :-) otherwise, no use having variations. the issue here is always the inaudible difference, to many of us, every darn pickup sounds the same. we tried too hard to hear the diff, but we can't...

the Custom TESLAs- there's so much distortion goodness, & it sounds warm on lower gain settings, that's the strength.
