2025

2025 is here. I'm definitely not looking forward to this year as I turn into that number that makes me very unemployable. I'm also not someone who looks back at things & reflect; I treat life as a linear adventure, there's no repeat, everything is about moving ahead regardless of the occurrences. I reflect on the spot & do not require a year's turn to re-evaluate things. I'm still in need of medication & my movements are restricted to whatever is not limited by the chemo's permanent side effects. There's really nothing to look forward to.

Nevertheless, I wish you all the good things that could happen to you which did not happen previously.

2023

2022 had left us. Whatever happened, that chapter is now closed. Wishing everyone a good 2023 as we forge on through uncertain times. On that note, the new chapter begins with a blow as our purchasing power is diminished by the GST hike.

It's 2022

Dear blog readers, here's wishing you a Happy 2022! Thank you for supporting me through this cancer year. It's been tough.

It's gonna be tougher this year as I have resigned from work to give myself more healing time for the first few months or so before moving on. I have difficulties getting enough rest from the rigour of my previous employment & taking time off to go to the hospital for treatment was an issue as well, compounded by the COVID-19 situation. I was issued a home isolation notice & two health risk warnings that prevented me from entering the hospital to get treatment & consultation. That's not a fair deal for me. I did not ask to be in such situations, I merely turned up for work. 2022 is also the year, according to the government, when things would return to normal as much as possible. You wonder where they get this assurance from. Utility charges are going up this month & the GST hike will take effect as well. If you have any compassion for the people at all, know that their wages are not going up in tandem with this supposed healing of the economy. People are still struggling & I won't be a brief one.

As I embrace unemployment & zero income to feed the family & pay for bills & medical treatments, I wish you all the best for 2022; may we all overcome our hardships & emerge as better individuals in every way. Take care 👋

Welcome - 2021

2021 is here. Whatever happened in 2020, it's over. Let's reflect & move on. It had been a tough one for many of us, tougher for me personally. No use looking back in anger over something you cannot control, we should all be emerging as stronger, more resilient individuals in 2021. I'm grateful to be able to continue this passion despite the cancer bout. Thanks for all your support & patience - the addiction continues.✌🏽

Happy 2013. Pfffttt...

2012 had been a blast. Gear-wise, I was a non-mover; I still embrace the good ol' guitar-to-amp set up, oblivious to the digital revolution taking place. It's not about defiance, but sticking to a formula that works, an arrangement that brought out the best manifestation from my gear.

I'm terribly grateful to you for taking time to drop by & read whatever's showcased here even if it means having to endure some shenanigans- eternal thanks for your support! Here's hoping that this blog would survive the test of 2013; I foresee the day job wearing me out to such an extent that regeneration has to happen at night just to keep me going because Red Bull & coffee don't do much for me. Onwards!
