is this another micro-cube wannabe? or a mini version of vox TV tube amp?

it's strictly the smaller version of the TV, no effects whatsoever, cleans only :-)
the thing about mini amps is portability- it's about having it conveniently with you when you are on the move. chances are, if you fancy these small amps, volume isn't a major issue, you'd probably be playing in a small group as opposed to a large performance venue. manufacturers realize tonal compromise won't win them fans when it comes to practice-grade amps.
on the business front, there is currently a real demand for tube units at this size spec, people desire the tube tone but they don't want to dealt with a whole lotta wattage & volume. also, if we'd realize by now, the smaller amps are magnificent when it comes to cleans, that's why we see many single channel makes out there :-)
