Re-string

It's another lethargic weekend with nothing much to look forward to. The upcoming week is just another week, one bogged down by a depleted fund for gear splurging. It always happens this time of the year. Perhaps this is why the season is named as 'fall', besides leaves, enthusiasm, determination & spending capacity are all falling...

I was more intent in doing instrument upkeep today than playing. My Ibanez RG321 & Talman acoustic gets a fresh set of GHS strings each.

Talman acoustic: GHS .010, i don't need to go a any thicker, i play this guitar amplified (in the mean time).

i have an equipment tracking record, one of the tracked details are the string changing bits- brand, gauge, date of restring. i re-string my guitars as & when there is a need to do so which usually hinged upon the feel & tone. i am rather averse to dead strings.

This Ibanez is stuck in my mind, fixed bridge, Duncans, simple and lethal. It is also a cheap one and some say it plays very well! Do you think so? Ant Ant

in terms of playability, it's not broadly associated with the brand name & country of origin, especially so for instruments in the lower price bracket. the RG321 here was a superb player when i tried it in the stores so it was a taker :-)
