Hard choice

This is Fender's limited run Vintera '70s hardtail Strat. I love everything about it, less the price: $1,899. They don't make too many hardtail Strats these days so this is something to be treasured. I'm still unable to reconcile certain price points with the country of manufacturer. I do not doubt the quality, it's about costs & prices. Then again, manufacturers will ride on stuff like limited run, to hike prices & we would fall for it.

This model deserves its exclusivity because of it’s fsr status: limited color, quantities made, hardtail bridge vs regular tremolo, etc. However, personally I believe the retail price that is suggested by the retailer is not an accurate and acceptable estimate. This is because the model is from 2019 (maybe some ol random find from their inventory, or overstock from fender themselves that they willing to sell off) as per serial number at the back of the headstock, pau ferro fretboard instead of rosewood fretboard. Fender aficionados would know that this strat falls under the Vintera 1 collection and back in 2019 they were sold at around 1.2-1.4k ish only (vintera models, vintera modified, fsr versions). So I’m suggesting that the strat should be offered at a much lower price than what it is going for. But being a SL customer and supporter myself, i know my single voice does not make any difference regardless if they are reading my comments or not.
