As featured in NAMM 2011, Gibson recently released the Gothic Morte models. These include the SG you see above...
... & a Les Paul Studio. It's a typical Gibson these two but the fretboards are not rosewood; it's an African timbre called Obeche. Also, the pickups in there are active GEM models.
Need proof? Here's the battery compartment at the rear.

ugly as sin, not sure about the sound and playability wise though.
i kinda like plain & boring Gibsons, so this is my kinda LP. but the tone remains to be heard.
Timber != Timbre
Gibson should launch the LP Custom version of Goth. Black beauty Goth = sexy^^
B for black, B for boring.
All black, lagi boring.
i loled @ the lagi boring xD
Black can caused inconvenience, especially in dark areas, like the stage, or the back stage. "Hey, anyone saw my guitar?" "i tot i left it right infront of me?" ***woohhh*** trips over something...
