you can also dress up like Osama & demand some due respect in exchange for not blowing the place up (because it's going to be renovated anyway). this will win you some attention as well.
Or just go to another shop with lower prices and friendlier people. No need to dress up, act up or put up with snooty service. Having said that, there are many other shops with put-you-down attitudes. Enough ranting! I'm going to get me an effects case!
One of the things that I am not impressed with is that the same product, a packet of Fender strings, is priced differently in different Swee Lee outlets.
A little miffed when I found out I paid a couple of bucks more for the same thing at Katong than at Bras Basah.
after some considerations, there are some discounts to be had regardless of how much they finally sell you their products. to me, it beats buying from an alternative source & waiting for the product to arrive. in-store availability also means i can try/ inspect the products before buying. if you think you are happier not not getting anything from their sale events, by all means don't. we are not compelled to participate, yes? in any case, i am just highlighting good deals to those of us who think they can benefit.

Any entrance fee? What to wear to waive the fee?
Dress like a rock star and smell like cash, that's the only way to get any attention (of the right kind) at this place.

so see you there Saturday? :-)
Oh, i know, i know, must wear yellow boots. Good marketing leads to lasting impression, bad marketing lasts a lift-time...
a life-time, i mean...

Sweelee is a one-trick shop. Sale? What sale, when you mark up the price, and then apply the discount % and insisted that it's a huge discount. *YAWN*

I also am foxed by the last comment regarding the Katong branch's staff.
