Quack!

The simple effort in making one's guitar-playing more enjoyable: Changing strings...

I had a fresh set of Dr. Duck strings (.009 set) in my LTD M-53 & that fresh, crunchy feel under the fingers made me play for hours... Feels good = Play more :-)

bro sub,

have you tried the ibanez smashbox? I think you MIGHT like it. Since you mostly play quite intense stuff, the SM-7 seems to fit to your stuff, just a heads up bro :-) since u like stuff with more drive

yes i've tried it; one of the most affordable intense distortion unit in the market but...

...not keen duw to absence of minddle frequency control.

Interesting to see a guitar player using .9s. most usually use .10s, andny differences/pros/cons of using a light guage other than easier bends?

most 25.5"-scaled guitars are equipped with a set of .009s at the factory. string gauge is a personal preference. .009s will see me play my best, not that i can't play thicker gauges but it's what i prefer...

for standard tuning, thicker gauges would manifest greater tension which some of us are bothered by. at least i am :-)
