9V batteries

I'm not one to employ a power source (they hum your output) to my pedals, call me old school but my way is the battery way. I'm also not keen on the alkaline pedigree, this sustains the pedal on reduced power & affects tone (especially for drive/ distortion/ fuzz units). The batteries you see above are what I currently use. I'm very impressed with the Vinnic as it is the longest lasting & costs $0.90 per piece.

Wah ,bro...u're really old school. Thi article reminds me a lot of Eric Johnson's comment on Duracell batteries(dun see many 9 volts ones here) I'm just using cheapo power supply.. too troublesome to take the batteries in and out. Had a bad experience wif leaking batteries on one of my efx.

The tone purist Eric Johnson insists that pedals running on reduced battery power gives him that certain fuzz he requires.

In another comment, he believes a certain screws under one of his pedal makes it sound bad hence the use of a rubber band to hold the baseplate onto the pedal housing.
