For many of us, owning an amp which is beyond 30W is strictly a NO, due to volume concerns. Well, I played the Ninja V2XNM 1x12 combo recently & I'm very impressed with the performance in relation to tones.This amp is a budget version of Mike Amott's Ninja stack. The first thing to note here is Randall's wise decision in equipping the combo with a superb driver- Celestion's Rocket 50. As such, the cleans are definitely above average.
Drive-wise, if you are looking for one of the best default distortion/ drive because you wish to remain pedal-free, this is perhaps one of the most gratifying solidstate tone for the money. The dual EQ feature here is indeed the key component of what makes this amp good to the ears. The amp has a boost feature for that much needed saturation for us distortion overdose dweebs. However, I personally feel some reverb would propel this amp into greatness. Highly recommended. (Absolutely love the price!)

Hey sub, can the v2xnm do lower-gain genres such as crunchy blues (robben ford, carl verheyen) or pop-punk(mayday parade,paramore,blink 182 etc.)?
the gain can lowered, definitely but the voicing won't be as crunch-worthy; i guess this amp was conceived to be an all-out distortion unit :-)
a n00b question - can this amp (or any other 30w amps) loud enough to beat the drums' sound in small jamming studio?
not really, unless yours is an unplugged session pertaining to the drums...
what works would be to ask the PA guy at the performance venue to hook your amp to the venue monitors, this way you can increase the volume.
Comprei uma Randall ninja!! O som clima é muito bom mesmo,a distorção dela nem se fala! Muito encorpado ,sendo q quando coloquei pedais de draives ,ela parece q não ficou legal achei estranho
