Bursting it

It's another costly Gibson (got USD5K?) from the custom shop- Les Paul Standard Custom Burstdriver, they call it.

The 'plus' feature here is the manufacturer's inclusion of an on-board overdrive circuit at the rear. Let's ask ourselves if this is addressing a particular problem any of us is facing in the mean time.

even as an armchair critic who only primarily plays the bass and will never pay for branding like that....

I believe anybody who has the financial clout to pay in excess of USD$5K would have found their desired tone through a pedal/amp/both. I think Gibson has lost the plot for the longest time. I'd bet all the money in the world that anyone will be happy if they just focused on producing quality guitars without gimmicks.

Thank you, bro for highlighting the perspective. I think many of us still look up to the brand name & its deserving heritage but what they do in the mean time is not doing good to the brand name.
