I don't attend any new year countdown events, I don't watch such shows on TV either. On New Year's Eve, I watch Entrapment obviously for its new year setting. Thereafter, if I am still well awake, I'd usually do some reading or play guitar but being incapacitated in the mean time, the latter occurrence is rather remote.
While I was in Malacca some years ago, I took a boat ride & the guide told me the river scenes in Entrapment were actually in Malacca, not in Kuala Lumpur. So now you know.

i don't like to attend countdowns too, too crowded. but i like to watch countdown on tv.. it delivers the mood, somewhat..
i think the joy of ushering in the new year has worn off... for me. maybe until i have some new outlook in life, it's like welcoming the same 'ol 365 days to come.
Sub, same ol' 365 days of guitar acquisition you mean?

those days when i receive my new instruments, are different days :-) the rest are the same, he he. i foresee 2011 to be a year of limited acquisition, channeling my funds to the acquisition of instruments to my spec instead of buying standard production outputs. also looking into amps more than guitars.
hey happy new year.
i got a greg bennett Avion 3 as a new year gift. canu pls suggest the best suited strings for the guitar. Ita an LP model
that's great bro! :-)
can you briefly tell me how the guitar sounds like in both clean & driven modes?
Sub, can kindly share, if you're looking to acquire guitars that are more to your spec, why not straight up get a custom made one? You can decide everything that you want on the guitar... any feedback?

if you are referring to the Ibanez brand name offering a custom spec instrument to us, the general public- slim hope... i'm actually alluding to the ESP Special Orders which i have one in the works :-)
"i foresee 2011 to be a year of limited acquisition..." - hehehe
i definitely see it that way, especially so if i wish to acquire more ESPs... the price of 1 ESP guitar can easily be used to fund 3 mid-priced guitars of other brand names.
