I was at Beez's a few days ago to have an Orange Drop cap installed in my Schecter 8-string. This was the only size left sporting the suitable value for an active circuitry & it was humongous; just look at its size compared to the 3-way switch next to it.
Schecter uses a Supergard brand battery in their guitars, an obscure brand name this one but it's environment-friendly so it gets my thumbs up.

bro, sell me some drop caps >:) hehehe...
em... i don't have any. i purchase them from Beez :-)
hi sub may i know what this orange cap is and how i can benefit from putting it on my guitar
hi there :-) the Orange Drop is just a film capacitor for the tone knob. in every electric guitar, the tone knob works by having a capacitor to filter the frequencies instead of cutting off signal entirely (otherwise it'll become the volume knob). the Orange Drop is a product by the manufacturer called SPRAGUE, whose capacitors don't only work for instruments but for other applications as well- amps, pedals, radios, etc.
the only reason why i have the orange in my guitars is because i hear a wider tone sweep as opposed to the default caps where sometimes a full turn of the knob would hardly yield any differences in tone (especially the guitars from the lower price brackets- GRRR...). the benefit from this installation is rather arguable- some of us hear the difference, some of us don't. the purchase & installation of the orange isn't costly; all for under $30 :-)
