This year sees Fender's American Series guitars re-tagged as the American Standard; back to its original label but with refinements. Notably, the bridge string saddles are now the vintage make which makes me wonder why the manufacturer phased out the contemporary appointments since their blocky nature was effective in preventing movements during whammy moments (I own the 50th Anniversary Strat sporting these). It is rather unclear from the picture but the saddles' action adjustment screws are threatening to scrape the players picking hand which was what me avoid these saddles in the first place.
Marshall's superb JVM head is now available in a 2-channel version for those of us who dislikes access. I currently own the pioneer 4-channel model, would be interesting to see if this offering would serve my needs. Decisions, decisions...
I'm not effects inclined but Ibanez's Jemini is an intriguing pedal, offering a 2-in-1 feature for those of us who love to cascade one pedal into another for saturated drive. More interesting is the inclusion of a Tubescreamer voicing along a more traditional distortion mode. It's strictly personal but the pedal would be appealing if it isn't Vai propelled but the man's name & association sells.
