Good Omen(s)

Had my Omens out this morning. After playing the 8, the 6 felt unreal; it became too easy & the urge to speed up was rather uncontrollable. I was toggling between those two guitars, left the 7 out for a while but had it going for the final 20min of playing time. The Omen 8 needs a fresh set of strings, waiting for them to be available at Davis...

just wondering, have u tried damien elite 8? U have ATX8 obviously from ur previous post. Does omen 8 feel much inferior to the atx8?

Im in dilemma wether to get omen8 or damien elite8.. or should i just save up wait longer and get atx8 instead..

it's human nature to approach the lower offerings with skepticism rather than confidence. as for me, i make it a point to acquire the entry level units which are outstanding for the money. this may be misunderstood as 'better than' but if we compare 2 instruments of the same brand name across tiers, it's never a fair comparison- cod roe vs caviar.

i've played the Damien E-8 before in-store, picked it up to hear it in action because the price was just too alluring. it feels & sounds closer to the ATX C-8 than the Omen, different pickup types account largely for this. thusfar, i feel the Omen 8 feels less overwhelming & this might just be the psychology of the finish type. it's not a 'better' guitar, neither is it a basement-grade, get-by instrument.
