I finally got this done- had Duncan's Classic Stack + in all positions of my Fender ST-72. I have a simple reason for liking the CS+; they perform equally well in both clean & driven settings.

you have the classic stack to compare with? isn't the + thinner than stk-4's?
i don't deem it as 'thin'- it may manifest lesser twang; that's how i hear things with the CS+. this means, there's more bottom end for chugging & that's my objective- to have an appropriate single coil tone for distortion applications.
