For 2013, Ibanez is offering it as a Standard production model- RG550XH. It goes beyond the 24th fret for all you solo freaks but it doesn't make it a 'better' guitar, you won't be deemed as a 'better' player as well if you can go that far. However, it's a tool, if you have any need for frequencies more friendly to dogs than to the human audio range, by all means use it. Personally, I'd like to get a feel of that extended cutaway; would it induce me to go beyond my comfort zone & master something unconventional?

if this model is available here, it'll be good to own one, something unique and different at an affordable price!
it'll be fun to see if i can even hit the right fret with those frets being so close to each other at the end LOL!

then again, i wonder if there are ppl who will buy this just for the ease of access to the 24th fret hmmm....
