Schecter: Omen 6... mine (2)

This is how the pickup cavities of the (Schecter) Omen 6 look like. The surface wasn't sanded down to manifest a smooth feel but shielding paint was applied so that's how much effort/ consideration was put in.

These are the default Schecter humbuckers in the Omen 6, made by the G & B pickup company; they make pickups for other brand names as well (LTD is one of them). They are to me, 'get-by' units; appealing only in certain applications, so out they went. If you are interested in them (pickups only, I'm currently using the screws/ springs) you can have them both for $35...

shielding paint: you can try hard ware shops but no idea which brand name :-)

ill try the shops if ill have time,. i find aluminum tape hard to connect each tape to ground unlike copper shielding which you can solder,.. i saw a copper sheet in a craft store in bras basa, hard as a thin sheet of fiber glass might be hard to cut..

Info: Thin Copper Sheets can be obtained at "Michaels" hobby stores. I bought some and installed it in a Telecaster. It was thin but nice to work with and solder. I even rolled it to shield the "Tunnel Holes" from cavity to cavity and it worked fine. Sincerely, Stan House, Custom Guitar Builder, in Copperas Cove, Texas
