JB/ Jazz: 35th Anniversary commemoration

There's nothing extra here in terms of tone, the 35th Anniversary JB/ Jazz set is still the same 'ol humbuckers which have satisfied many of our tonal needs (mine especially). However, I'm highlighting the fact that the anniversary version is devoid of that 'Seymour Duncan' label which many of us dislike; we prefer our pickups to be lable-free so they don't interfere with the instrument's cosmetics, yes?

The Anniversary package is a limited run offering (meaning: These won't be offered indefinitely) & the pair list for $199 @ Davis GMC. The zebra finish you see here is available as well as the traditional all black version.

oh sub since you're a fan of P90s in neck position, how well do they work for metal? say nevermore?

when it comes to guitar tones, i don't think that way- i always consider if it'll serve my needs in terms of clarity & suitablility with distortion :-)

oh what i meant was, do p90s work well under heavy distortion? i'm worried about the hiss mainly. thanks sub.

can the tesla opus set comparable to these?.. i mean they have little price difference not sure about tone, feel and its performance with distortion..

Zebra??? More like black/creme

yes, the P-90 is great for distortion application, if you worry about the hum, a noise gate would be useful. i think the single coil hum irks many of us during non-playing moments.

the tesla opus-2 are same tone as p90s right? just the + for humcancelling?
