I've never plugged a high drive/ intense distortion pedal into my Marshall's crunch channel because I deem this a desecration of Marshall's greatness but on days I get bored, anything goes. I plugged my
Pocket POD Express into the aforementioned amp's channel & it was great- a pleasant concoction of tube crunchiness & digital intensity. Without the noise gate in the chain, the background hissing was excessive.

i just found your blog today at 1 in the morning while googling about beta alvin and...hey i can see u r using beta alvin..its been a while i'm looking for its user to ask for the opinion since i was thinking of buying beta alvin equalizer to boost the sound during solo....do you think its worth it...if possible you can yell back at me at bux5117@gmail.com.thanx a lot
the EQ pedal, in its primary function, does not boost signals/ volume but it can be used as such. it's job is to enhance/ truncate the frequencies to the user's needs.
i have no issues with any EQ pedals pertaining to brand names, they do their job fine, none i came across so far suck tone. the Beta Aivin brand names are definitely value-for-money products.
